But sweeping new changes to the national college entrance exam, the single most important test of a student's high school career, will see an emphasis on all-around development in pursuit of the country's untapped talent.

An 8-year-old boy named Miao Yizhi from Whenzhou city of east China’s Zhe Jiang Province, passed Level 3 of the Public English Test System (PETS 3) in March this year, becoming the youngest examinee who passes this test, reported local newspaper Xian Dai Jin Bao.
Miao is now in the second grade of a primary school in Wenzhou. His father teaches English, his mother being a teacher as well.
