CHICAGO Cheap Off-White x Nike Air Vapormax White , Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The City of Chicago filed a lawsuiton Monday against U.S. Department of Justice over threats by theTrump Administration to withhold federal funding for state andlocal law enforcement agencies.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said the city would stands firmbehind its sanctuary city status.
City officials will ask a judge to block conditions thatAttorney General Jess Sessions added to the Byrne Memorial JusticeAssistance Grant, the top federal funding source for state andlocal law enforcement agencies.
The grant, which was expanded by the Obama Administration,brought 2.3 million U.S. dollars to Chicago's law enforcement, someof which was used to purchase body cameras following a string offatal shootings of unarmed civilians by police.
City officials expected 3.2 million U.S. dollars this year toachieve new law enforcement strategies in the wake of theDepartment of Justice report released in January that addressed theongoing surge of violence in Chicago.
"The federal government should be working with cities to providenecessary resources to improve public safety, not concocting newschemes to reduce our crime fighting resources," Mayor Emanuel saidin a statement released over the weekend.

HOHHOT, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Former middle school teacher andprincipal, Enktobxin, an ethnic Mongolian, is Chinese CommunistParty chief of Damao Banner in Inner Mongolia AutonomousRegion.

Enktobxin spoke only Mongolian at school. He learned Mandarin atcollege and now speaks it fluently. He obtained a master's degreein ecology from Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and adoctorate from Minzu University of China in Beijing.
